A little girl loses her red umbrella in a windy rainy city street. The umbrella blows away and lands beside an elderly man. He uses it, then passes it to a flower seller, then a courier, then a musician. The umbrella keeps traveling across bridges, trains, markets, and rooftops. By sunset it reaches the girl again. She opens it and flower petals pour out instead of rain.
