Cut to a corner bar still miraculously lit from inside, solar rig on the roof. Inside, three older men sit in silence, nursing drinks in mismatched mugs. One tunes a battered guitar with reverence. The bartender, wiping glasses with a frayed rag, nods as the door creaks open, the kids peer in, hesitating. For a beat, nobody speaks. Then the oldest man lifts his mug in welcome.
